Holy Crap I haven't written here in awhile!

Stupid job search and artistic block! If you're wondering about my last journal, I didn't get a job at the video game company, I felt very depressed because I didn't have enough experience and my 3D work wasn't up to par with their expectations. I was bummed out for awhile but now I've picked myself back up and searching again.

This time I was able to harvest some fruit of my labours! I got a job interview today at a hotel to work at the front desk (instead of the housekeeping job I had a couple of months ago. Bleh!) and I'm also in for testing to work for the government in the Census department which means good pay!

But even if I don't get the government job I would like working at the hotels I've applied too, they look really nice and with the Xmas decorations up, it gives me a happy feeling (not to mention my pockets would be filled up! n_n )

From this time last year, Christmas was really depressing because I had a hard time to find a job as an animator... but now I'm just saying "Fuck this." and getting some savings built up for when I move to Ontario with my boyfriend and plan to go back to school at Sheridan College, which has the best animation programs around (compared to the shitty one, they tried to put here!)

So for this Xmas, I say that I am pulling myself back up, stop letting myself be dragged down, grow a backbone and go to accomplish my goals so that I can be and do what I want rather then let my insecurities prevent me from doing so.

Why oh why didn't this come by sooner?!! XO I could have prevented a lot of headaches! XD

As for art, I'll be posting stuff up, including some concept stuff for my comic projects and some animation experiments. In the meantime, I gotta get ready for my job interview and hope things go well!

I give thanks to anyone online or in real life who's given me comfort, inspiration and even those who gave me a needed kick in the ass!

..has been quite interesting!

To give an update on what's happenin'. After nearly a year unemployed, I got an interview for a position at an independant video game company that's been recruiting throughout Atlantic Canada!!

My interview is gonna be on Monday so I'm working quickly as I can to get my portfolio done on DVD and get my nice clothes ready. I'm excited and yet quite nervous 'cause I may be against some people who have been in the industry for while. But they must have seen something promising in my fancy Flash resume!

So for the most part I'm gonna busy this weekend getting everything set up but I'll have more artwork I made up for viewing!

And speaking of artwork, my little sister has joined DeviantArt. She has some very nice, traditionally drawn anime art for viewing. So please take a look and give her a warm DA welcome! :3

Ah, now that I got that out of my system XD I'll get back to my normal self (*snicker* Normal? Me? Teeheeheehehehe! ). Don't mind my spazzing, cause my dear sister brought me a mini Triple Chocolate Cheescake from Tim Hortons. Mmmmm... chocogasm!

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, my apologies for this month's absent. I've been on my toes finding a job and making some animations (which I will be uploading up here soon enough) so far no luck, except for that one place which is taking so long to make their decision!

But neverless I'm not doing too bad. Been working on some art and will be working on a submission for some animation festivals (whoa.. busy busy busy! )

So in the meantime here's what to expect within this month:

Ehehehe.. please don't mind that nasty rant in my last entry. I was quite pissed off at all the threads complaining about nudity so I had to let off some steam.

On the good side, I had in interview today for a part-time graphic design job at a screenprinting & embroidery shop. So far it turned out really good. Now I have to hand in a design concept challenged by the employer, a simple t-shirt design for Prince Edward Island, no big deal but be creative enough to get me the job! X_x

So far I've got a good idea and I'll be tinkering around with it. Afterwards I can finally submit some art. Sorry for the delay.

Anyway, gotta go, and for the Canucks out there, HAPPY CANADA DAY!

What the fuckin' hell is the matter with Deviants today? All throughout the damn week or so a new topic comes on about the Nude Daily Deviations and the SG/TruLove advertisements, whining about "Oh but it will be harmful to minors/It offends me/etc..

BULLSHIT!

If you don't like the ads or don't want your children to see them well what about doing the novel idea of IGNORING THEM!

If it still bothers you, 1)Get a subscription, or if you can't afford one 2)Get a Ad/Spyware remover software like Secretmaker [link]

I don't know why the fuck people are getting so pissy about it. For those who comes down to the "Children" arguement.. well whoppee dee doo, anybody under 13 is not allowed to register without a permisson from their parents. Now I've only counted a few kids and usually they're mature for their age or their parents are observing their children's activity LIKE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO DO!

Deviantart is not your fuckin' babysitter. I am sick and tired of hearing people bitch and moan because they cannot handle a tit... god forbid if it was a MALE nude deviation or else people would be having a fit because of a penis.

And there was one deviant who wanted to have a paying system for the nude and fetish sections. Yeah like that'll work, then less people will see the works that artists have put much thought into because somebody can't handle the fact that it's there and anyone could see it. I went there, I don't see anything that is out of bounds. If so, then I would report it. Easy right?

Ugh. I could go on and on about this. But I'll leave with a last point. The demand for censorship on DA disgust me, not only for the censorship itself but that they assume anyone who goes into those sections are perverts. If that's the case: SCREW YOU!
